Through its early experience in developing software for PCs, Atlas recognised the need to create an environment that would enable the delivery of sophisticated mission critical applications quickly and economically. Atlas met this challenge with the development of Plastic Software, its own IDE which uses high level design tools supported by a repository data dictionary. Since Plastic Software's debut in 1990 Atlas won several awards, some of which as are:
